Editorial Review:
Product Description: This action-adventure game lets you try on the powers of six playable heroes, including Goku, Gohan and Piccolo and fight fearsome boss enemies. Relive incredible moments from the Saiyan-Cell Games Saga and experience never-before-seen parts of the infamous Dragon Ball Z story. Take part in a wide range of game modes, including Adventure, Arena Arcade and Team-based cooperative. This is a journey that's worthy of a Saiyan. Dive into the world of Dragon Ball Z and go deeper than you have ever gone before. Many eons ago, the Saiyans were born from a primeval force that grew into a fierce warrior race. They possessed such immense powers that their planet was unable to survive their torturous centuries of destruction. One of the Saiyans, Goku, was chosen and sent to Earth to destroy its inhabitants. As luck would have it for Earth, Goku suffered a head injury that scrambled his programming. He was unable to complete his task and his brothers became determined to resolve this problem. As life would have it, the battle between Saiyans and Earth turned into a battle between Saiyans and Saiyans.

I enjoyed this game alot. Now 4 some reason alot of reviewers here have been TRASHING this game with negative ratings. This is not an RPG game. I personally wasnt into the other Dragon Ball Z games because they were all Street Fighter type games. I enjoy fighting games but i enjoy an action adventure beat em up game even more cause they last longer. This is a great game. Now you wont find any ground breaking graphics here but i enjoy the overall animation and character design alot and i like the ... Read More

A long time DBZ fan am I. I own this game and have beaten it into submission.
While it's a very fun game and probably the best DBZ game to date, it's a short game if you quick to pick up the games mechanics. The fighting does get repetative, but doesn't fully take away from the replay value. It's not a game played once and put on the shelf to collect dust by any means.
The graphics are good for the time in which it was released; however, the camera angles do get in the ... Read More

I'm not sure why the price went up... I spent $15.00 on this game for my sons who both play it ages 9 and 18. For any db fan, they'll love it.

I have to say one thing before I go on with this review: I like DBZ. The Budokai games are fun, and the show was good until the Buu series. Budokai 2 is the best DBZ game I've ever played, and I've played quite a few. But this game SUCKS. There is no "fun" aspect. My neighbor borrowed it from another neighbor, and we played, because it sounded fun. It's DBZ, but there's free-roam, and co-op. Nothing bad, right? Wrong. You run around and beat things up. That's where the fun starts, and where it ends. ... Read More

I never even knew this was the only Dragon Ball Z game for the XBOX until I found out last week. Since I have an XBOX 360, I heard it's backwords compatible and this may be a good game to play for the XBOX 360. Atari should keep making DBZ games for the XBOX because it would be alot better if they did so Microsoft could be happy. Anyway so far this is one of the best(and only) Dragon Ball Z games around.
