Editorial Review: Obi-Wan Kenobi's life is not without some measure of disappointment. He never gets a really snazzy wardrobe, never gets the girl, is forced to live out much of his life on Tattooine being regarded as an old coot, and his star pupil, in a particularly disheartening move, has become the most feared evil-doer in the universe. But before you feel bad for Obi-Wan, check out the cool starfighter he gets to pilot. It has a canopy that pops open, wings that snap into x-formation, a built-in R2 unit, and two spring-loaded missiles. This is the ship that Obi-Wan pilots in the opening sequence of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith when, along with Anakin Skywalker, he goes to rescue Emperor Palpatine, another decision that was somewhat regrettable. --Charlie Williams

Ben Kenobi's Starfighter was the early proto-tie fighter a conjoinment of Republic nose fighters and the grid flank tie-fighter's bow-tie look so distinctive in a space craft. Kenobi and Anakin flew these on regular patrol in the Darth Greivous campaing in the last movie it is nothing more than a combintion Tie and A-wing conjoined as the Republic Starfighter.(could be a snowspeeder but that's just an airplane.) The toy is made of the same suff as the others, a bit more quality went into it than ... Read More

Santa brought this toy for my 5 yr old son. He and his 7 yr old friend have a blast playing with this and the other ships. It seems to be made very well. The only negative thing I can think of is there are a couple of torpedos that launch from the ship that might get lost if you don't keep a close eye on them. Also, the cover to the cockpit comes off pretty easy so we have to keep putting it back on. Other than that, it seems to be a great toy. The smaller action figures can fit into the cockpit ... This vessel is one of 50 mark II Kuait drive engine prototypes prepaired for the council members and special jedi, such as Anakin. Obi-Wan, as absolute commander over the 212th star corps, has two in the PROCECUTER's hanger, one fully armed (Episode III intro) one, hardly armed at all (Utapau) but can be armed quickly. This toy features:
. Opening cockpit
. Retractible Landing-Gear
. Removable R4 Bust
. And firing missiles

I wrote this review for Anakin's Starfighter, but this is the same toy other than paint scheme, so . . .
This is a great toy. It is very sturdy and weighty. There is no cheapness or junk in construction. I would gues it will last a long time, even when played with by our 5-year-old boy. Even the smaller, more vulnerable parts such as the cockpit canopy and landing gear seem tough and fit together well. The plastic is a type that will not break (at least not easily). I accidentally ... Read More
