Raid on Entebbe is a tightly directed film that portrays one of Israel's finest hours - it is a tense story of incredible danger, and heroic rescue. Unfortunately, the 2007 edition is like watching a 1960's television set with terrible reception. Amazon should not sell this version at any price.

The Raid On Entebbe is very well done. The tactical accounts of the raid are accurate and a bit of story added to make it TV enjoyable. Charles Bronson and Jack Warden lead an allstar cast. Its ending is powerful. I would rate it a PG-13.

All in all, Excellent movie! Bad DVD! It says it is digitally re-mastered, but it is still BAD DVD!
I will avoid all products of WHAM!USA in the future.

This is a great movie depicting the events of the hijack of Air France flight 139 and Operation Thunderbolt (later named Operation Yonatan) accurately and in great detail. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat and as the events unfold. I saw this movie on the History Channel, on Real to Reel hosted by Steve Gitland, and I enjoyed it so much that I went and bought the DVD here on Amazon. "Raid On Entebbe" is a five star which has become a three star because of the poor quality of the film transfer. Obviously, no one took the trouble to remaster it and it shows. One can scarcely see the people in some scenes, others are so dark that only outlines of persons remain. Even the overall "quality" of the image looks a bit like it's been tracked through someone's dust bin first.
