The show was based on Cosby's 60's stand up comedy monologues about his childhood. The episodes revolved around the daily life lessons learned by Fat Albert and his friends. Topics ranged from social issues to personal introspection and were blended with humor and music. Among the many great characters that inhabited Fat Albert's world were Rudy, Mushmouth, Donald, Bill, Weird Harold and Russell. Being a cartoon lover, this was a terrific find. As soon as I heard the theme music, I was immediately taken back! The pictured quality is great, but the sound could've been crisper.
I also enjoyed the included booklet that includes an interview with one of the producers giving insight to the series' development.
A great addition to any collection!

Sorry. I know some people will wonder what I'm aiming for, and it is this: why are they so grotesque? I grew up with a gang of kids, and none of them were ever as weird as these guys. Good cartoons for their time, but...

I use these videos to supplement my Character Education Lessons. They are an excellent supplemnet for the students.

I think that this is a great collection because it can educate kids like me about various kinds of trouble and how to avoid them, It can also teach morals and ethics. I would reccommend you buy this series. And the touch of nastalgia that grown-ups feel doesn't hurt either.
