Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Last Train from Gun Hill
Kirk Douglas and Anthony Quinn were made to act togather, they meshed togather but Earl Holliman steals the movie. Carolyn Jones is very good also.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Lat Train From gun Hill
This is a classic but, a wonderful movie!! I recommend this to all who enjoy westerns.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Very underrated western - some nice suspenseful moments
"Last Train from Gun Hill" is a very underrated western. Though not quite on the level of "The Searchers" or "Shane", it's a very suspenseful thriller (only lasting a bit over 90 minutes) that definitely has its moments and the story develops well over its three acts - it's pretty economical storytelling. I don't want to give away too much plot but it revolves around Kirk Douglas' lawman seeking justice for the murder of his Indian wife.....who, as it turns out, was raped and murdered by the son ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A CLASSICALLY SUSPENSEFUL WESTERN SHOWDOWN FROM THE GREAT JOHN STURGES WITH KIRK DOUGLAS AND ANTHONY QUINN!
The John Sturges western "Last Train from Gun Hill" is another one of those chamber westerns from the 1950s where the villains corner the hero in an urban setting and both sides have to count down to their inevitable showdown based on a ticking clock. Aside from some early scenes shot outdoors, most of "Last Train from Gun Hill" occurs within the city limits of the frontier western town of Gun Hill. Furthermore, the story pits two long-time friends, a courageous lawman Kirk Douglas against a powerful ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Looking For Revenge in Gun Hill
