Description: Only a few times in history has a musician been singled out as the world-class master of his instrument. Billy Cobham is one of those few artists. For over 30 years, he has received international acclaim as the total consummate drummer. Billy Cobham's

This DVD is a much better recording than the Glass Menagerie DVD. There is a great line up of players and they even remembered to turn the snare drum mic on. Good chemistry between the players. Billy is on top of it and looks like he's having a great time. I was very impressed by Rita Marcotulli (keyboards) from Rome. I highly recommend this DVD for Billy Cobham fans.

I've seen Coham around the same time this DVD was filmed and he is at his best on this DVD. His band members all originating from Europe, 2 from Germany and 1 from Amsterdam is extremely talented. Rita Marcotulli on key boards is one of the best female keyboardist I've ever heard. I was surprised to see Wolfgang Scmidt, who was originally the bassist for Passport (one of my favorite fusion bands) is on this DVD. He is a great bass player and shows some of his talents on Stratus. Peter Wolpl, guitarist ... Read More

This DVD sounds good and looks good. The song selection is good too. Billy really seemed to be enjoying himself. My only critique is that the bass guitar is low in the mix. I have about thirty concert DVDs, and this one has made it in to my top five.

I also own the other Glass Menagerie DVD. Both of them are good and good quality, but something about the Glass M. DVD was lacking in terms of the drums power. You could hear the drums...but the bass drum was almost non-existent. And the DVD was delving TOO much into the really weird, psychedelic period of BIlly Cobham (which is cool, but gets tiring quick). I was also sad that it didn't have Red Baron and Stratus. NOW I'm happy.
This new DVD has better quality (filmed a decade later), ... Read More

I am a little biased, but I have never seen or heard anyone play like Billy Cobham. I think he's the best ever. Unfortunately there isn't much available as far as videos of his fusion work. If you're a drum or Cobham fan, this is a must-have. He looks more intense than he does in Glass Menagerie, but, as usual, he pulls off some awesome stuff. Very fast playing, that incredible timing and accuracy, the tricks, the sheer velocity, etc. - it's all there!
