This was a nice family movie that we all enjoyed. Nice romantic story and good music. Also would be a good movie to watch at Christmas even though the title would make you think it is more a summer movie. Our five year old daughter also enjoyed the movie which is a plus for us.

I absolutely LOVE this movie!This is a charming movie that is definetly one of my all-time favorites! Even people who don't love musicals enjoy this movie! The first time I saw it I watched it three times in a row and I have watched it many times since! It is a heartwarming story about two antagonistic employees of a music shop who are corresponding anonymously "on intellectual subjects" and end up falling in love. This is one of my favorite movies of all time, it is also my favorite version of this story. In my opinion Van Johnson and Judy Garland have a better chemistry than Stewart and . . . the other leading lady in Shop Around the Corner (I forgot her name) Of course, Jimmy Stewart was excellent but, I found the lady lacking. I love this movie, I initially purchased simply because Buster Keaton is in it, and of course he is wonderful to see. Two bits of business especially are highlights to me, and both are Buster's material are the very beginning where Judy and Van meet and the violin scene.
