All I found were wild theories and dead ends.

Peter Jennings and company did a masterful job in this documentary. The best part is when they use computer animation by the guy who's been studying the JFK assassination for over twenty years. They do fatal damage to the idea of the "magic bullet". Governor Connelly wasn't sitting directly in front of JFK; his seat was set six inches to the left of Kennedy's.
