Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Yo Joe!
One of the best cartoons of all time! Great fun, and good for you too. This cartoon helped shape who I am, and that is not a bad thing. Growing up watching G.I. Joe I learned a lot about the kind of person I wanted to be. This is an example of the type of quality cartoons that we just do not see being made today.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - These third party sellers suck!!!
Hey guys, if you still want this set at a reasonable price, there are still lots of stores that have them.
I'm not going to name them due to the fact that the third party seller a-holes would probably buy them to sell at their bent over prices.
They're just a bunch of punks trying to get rich off dvd sets since they're too stupid to be reasonable.

This dvd set is still selling at the $40 range at stores along with the Transformer sets.

Don't buy from the third ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - back then the American's could draw like the Japanese
In January of 2004, Kid Rhino Home Video released the first half of Season One onto a 4-disc DVD set, G.I. Joe Season 1 part 1. In addition to 27 uncut episodes, the discs featured interviews with writer Christy Marx and voice director Wally Burr, vintage public service announcements, and original broadcast audio. A collectible animation cel was also included in the packaging.

I have to admit that Rhino really did the dvd collection on G.I. Joe the same way they did Transformers. I find it hard to believe that both Transformers and G.I. Joe were produced from the same company and they both shared the same voice actors. One episode from G.I. Joe is actually my favorite and that's "Operation Mind Menace". This episode features six Transformer actors which included Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, and Michael Bell. It's makes everyone think that the actors who did Transformers ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A classic example of reactive vs. proactive.
As a youth I used to run home after school as well as awaken early Saturday mornings to enjoy this show about a ruthless villain hell-bent on terrorizing the world and the only organization strong enough to foil his plans daily. To me it was the ultimate example of good vs. evil and no other program could top it. It was the 80s, life was good and the G.I. Joes were the epitome of a young American boy's dream.

Older now, I purchased this on a whim to see if I could see if I could recreate ... Read More
