No, it's not Lego, but it's still a pretty good building model. It took me a few hours to put the ship together and it's a very stable design. I really like the display stand that came with it also. The Captain Picard minifig is pretty dumb looking, Mega Blok minifigs have really short legs, but all in all it was well worth the sale price I paid. If you're a Star Trek fan this would be a good buy.

I received this for Christmas and I have to admit--it's a lot of fun. It will take you about four to five hours to put together (I put it together in stages). The pieces fit well and the instructions are, for the most part, fairly straight forward. I was shocked that it took 50 pages of instructions, but you'll understand why once you get into building the ship. It assembles in stages which is nice and you can take breaks as needed. I found this for $15 at my local TRU. I had my eye on it since it came out and the price was right. Traditionally I'm more of a fan of building block toys from the other company, but I have to admit, this kit impressed me. The fit was tight, and the quality was decent. It took a good 4 or 5 hours to build which was fun. About my only complaint was the instructions, which were kind of hard to read some times. If you can find it marked down, the price is right!

First of all, the model in the picture on this site is not assembled correctly- the two engines (nacelles) are actually a bit longer and have rounded ends.
The finished Enterprise has a nice weight to it and is fun to fly around. It would have been nice if it was easier to separate the saucer from the main ship (like in the show), but I'm guessing that wasn't possible for structural integrity reasons (the saucer is heavy). But overall, it looks surprisingly good. In addition to the ... Read More

I got this for an early Christmas present from a fellow geekin' fanboy, and I decided to make the most of it (heh) by building it whilst watchin' my fave NextGen cliffhanger, "The Best of Both Worlds". When I had completed my task, I found the finished product pretty decent looking, like a kit model complete with display stand... only blockier. Well, except for the special bridge and aft nacelle strut pieces, whose more-rounded and curvilinear appearance clashed quite a bit with the rest of the vessel. ... Read More
