Editorial Review:

Product Description:
It's spooky. It's wacky. It's STRANGER THAN FICTION! Exploding with sheer cartoon craziness these all-new Toons star your favorite Looney Tunes characters making big-time fun of everything from mysteriously goofy TV shows to sci-fi movie blockbusters! Plus you'll also be treated to an irresistible assortment of must-see new-and-improved-deluxe-extra-special Looney Tunes DVD bonus features! In this eerily-entertaining volume: Porky and Yosemite Sam go creature-hunting and end up in a Loch Ness Mess. Daffy hosts a preposterous paranormal TV show featuring everything from the fearsome "Mexican goat-sucker" to crazy crop circles and a Shakespeare-spouting Taz! Then Porky and Daffy land on the very odd Planet of the Taz - and discover some even stranger sequel-planets! Plus more way-Looney spoofs and shorts full of weirdly wonderful Warner-riffic fun!Running Time: 68 min.Format: DVD MOVIE Genre: CHILDREN/FAMILY UPC: 085392793020

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Hilarious
My two little boys love watching these shorts with Mom and Dad, and we all find the vignettes hilarious. Daffy Duck repeatedly sputtering, "mysterious phenomena of the unexplained," the Planet of the Apes takeoff with its "Idiot Eyes" bit, and several other parts of this DVD provide some good, mindless laughs. Our family has a really good time watching it. Not sure what some of the other reviewers dislike so passionately, but I give this DVD all stars.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I think it's interesting and entertaing...
I liked this video. I mean sure it's not as well put together as the original, but lets face it...nothing ever is. It does feature all of the favorite looney tune characters with a modern twist! Even though I still highly recomend that you purchase the original cartoons (before buying this video), I think that if you're a fan of the the original looney tunes then this is a must buy!

From the back cover:
(There are 19 new cartoons on this video, some which are not mentioned on here)...In ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Not as good as the originals
I received the "Stranger Than Fiction" and "Reality Check" DVDs from a friend. I remember watching Looney Tunes as a kid and looked forward to sharing them with my children. I didn't realize these were NOT the original cartoons and was really disappointed by the quality of the new ones. They just don't hold a candle to the ones I remembered. My kids didn't seem to enjoy them, either and quickly left to go play (wait...perhaps that's a good thing after all!) Recently another friend brought a DVD of original ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A cute collection
True, this collection is not quite up to the standards of the classic clips. However, it's really not THAT bad. Even ok Looney Tunes are still far superior to most of today's fare, in my opinion.

Here's the listing of the nineteen clips, for those of you who are interested:
Sufferin' Sasquatch
Cropsy Curvy
The Bermuda Short
Who Wants to Be a Martian-Aire?
Gone in 30 Minutes
Window Pains
The Taming of the Screwball
Loch Ness Mess
Twick or ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - A better idea for a DVD of Modern Looney Tunes shorts
Hey Mr. WARNER, what's about a 2-DVD-set with ALL the "Modern Looney Tunes Shorts" from 1987 to 2004???:

1.-The Duxorcist (1987) directed by Greg Ford & Terry Lennon
2.-The Night Of The Living Duck (1988) directed by Greg Ford & Terry Lennon
3.-Box Office Bunny (1990) directed by Darrell Van Citters
4.-Blooper Bunny! (1991) directed by Greg Ford & Terry Lennon
5.-Invasion Of The Bunny Snatchers (1992) directed by Greg Ford & Terry Lennon
6.-Chariots Of Fur (1994) ... Read More
