The lack of inclusion of the most amazing debut on American TV by a British superstar, Kate Bush, is dire. I remember seeing that performance, and being blown away, awestruck -- and more than a little enamored -- as she crawled and slinked along a grand piano in a cat suit, as if it was yesterday. And it hasn't been seen since.

Hello, Sometimes you just know you have to see it...This is one of those things. The producers of snl came up with a wild idea, live bands on TV before they went big time. The talking heads, Spice girls, and John Cougar just to name a few. Treat the bands as if there're big timers. The end result is the best you've ever seen of the music you remember.

The Neil Young "Keep on Rockin' in the Free World" is the best thing I have ever seen - I could watch it and watch it and watch it - worth the price of the DVD set JUST FOR THIS!

A great feature is the musical skits most of us remember so well ("We need more cow bell!") as well as excellent performances by some of the best musicians.

I was a little disappointed to find that this set, as good as it is, does not have some of my favorite SNL musical performances. I was hoping that it would at least have ABBA from the first season, but it does not, nor does it have the B-52s from 1979, Stevie Nicks from 1983, or Mick Jagger from 1992. But on the up side, it does have Simon & Garfunkel and Tom Petty. I wouldn't discourage anyone from investing in this set, but I would just advise that you take a good look at the performance list ... Read More
