Product Description: X2: Wolverine's Revenge takes you on a mission of vengeance against an organization that is trying to kill Wolverine!
Amazon.com Review: While comics are having a bit of renaissance in films lately, with several decent versions of four-color heroes making it to the big screen, still the only half-decent superhero game is Spider-Man. Wolverine’s Revenge should change all that, with what promises to be a genuinely worthwhile game in its own right. Tying in only loosely to the X-Men 2 movie, this is basically a Wolverine simulator, which traces his life from his first appearance as Weapon X in 1968 to a series of deadly battles in the modern day against the likes of Lady Deathstrike and Sabretooth.
As you’d expect, the emphasis of the action in the game is on 3-D combat and this works extremely well, with various combos to unlock and the ability to fight multiple bad guys at once. More interesting, though, is the way you can use Wolvie’s animal senses to follow scent particles in the air, hear distant sounds, and track an enemy’s heat signature. This aspect of the game works incredibly well and allows you to play the game as either an all-out actioner or a more tactical, stealth-based affair.
It’s unusual to see a comic character portrayed so accurately in a game, with all their powers intact, but Wolverine’s Revenge really pulls it off and combines it with some great gameplay and cool graphics. --David Jenkins, Amazon.co.uk

This is a very cool game, I must say. The graphics are slick and beautiful, the play is outstanding, and there is a bucket's worth of blood flying everywhere when you use your claws on your opponents. Also the game is challenging. So far I am on the level "Runt of the Litter" where you fight Sabretooth, who by the way is my third favorite X Villain next to Magneto and Apocalypse. He is a cool villain, and very vicious, as are all of the soldier guards you fight before him. Plus, you can regenerate ... Read More

This game is awsome. I found out that it works better when the color setting is on 16 bit mode 400 X 600 pixels. When on this setting, the movies won't be as choppy. For a walkthrough go to gamefaqs . com.

Don't worry about all the people complaining about the game (or rather their person system issues [buy a 3D accellerator, not for Windows 95, ect.]. The game is fun, and the plot is fine and the graphics are nice. Just one thing, don't think you'll play it for more than a week... which is typical for these types of games.

Unlike others who seemed to have tech probs with the game, I did not. My computer is an Athlon2000XP w/ winXP, 512k RAM, NVidia GForce4 card. I played the game for many hours & days - I went through many of the levels. Interesting enough it does have a pretty neat plot of how Wolverine became to be and if your patient you'll get to see many other marvel heroes & villans. The camera I won't lie is a tad difficult to work with - but once I got the feel for it, I didn't have much problems. ... Read More

I bought this game for my brother as a gift. He has a brand new computer with what we thought was the latest 3D equipment. After downloading, we discovered that you need a 3D Accelorator to play the game, which is written in microscopic words at the bottom of the box. 3D accelorators don't come equipped in computers, and can cost upwards of $80 to purchase, so make sure your computer is compatible before purchasing.
