I think this is one of the greatest films of all time. The scenery in it is fantastic and the actors are all wonderful. It is a wonderful story about two men taking a herd of cattle and horses from Texas to Montana and all the trials and troubles they run into on their way there. Anyone liking this type of movie would love to have it in their collection. It is deffinately a keeper to be watched over and over again.

The DVDs were new and factory sealed as promised. They arrived promptly. Only Deadwood challenges these two western series - Lonesome Dove and Return to Lonesome Dove. The acting is superb and the story is inspiring. The production quality and resolution are surprisingly good for almost 6 hours of video on only 2 discs.

I watched Lonesome Dove last weekend during the 25th anniversary re-broadcast. It was, quite simply, the most amazing western I have ever seen. I rented Return to Lonesome Dove to see if it would answer a lot of open questions such as what happened to Laurie, will Call ever tell Newt he is his father, will July and Clara get together etc. Well, it did answer all of those questions, but it left more than it answered.
