Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Shattered My Hopes!
I didn't play this game when it first came out, so maybe back then it would have been better. This game sounds reasonable on the drawing board, but its execution falls rather short. The graphics are quite good for a PS2 game and all the classic trek sounds are there, they were even able to persuade George Takei to lend his voice. It started off decent enough, but it didn't take long for me to realize this one was a stinker. There is no ship damage effects present in a game aching for them. The ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Its fun and not as bad as others would make you think..
I thoroughly enjoyed this game and on the easy setting it isn't all that difficult. It also offers something different then the other Star Trek games. Instead of flying a big lumbering slow starship you are in a fighter, a more rapid paced game! Plenty of episodes in this with good graphics of old star trek nemesis's that I won't reveal here. I have played nearly every Star Trek game that has come out and almost everyone seems to get bad reviews, it just seems thats the fashion now days. Yes I ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Very Challenging game
This game is fun, but it takes some time to get used to the controls. The gameplay is great fun, but often very challenging. I'm only about halfway through the game, but I think with some dedication and practice it's possible to beat it. The bad points on this game are difficulty in using the targeting scanners. Sometimes, to find an enemy vessel, you have to cycle through all your allies, and be careful not to fire on them. Also random and often pointless communications from the Excelsior, and ... Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - star trek s.u. it's good but not the best
i love star trek ever since i was seven. i will buy all star trek games if i can. i like this game fore how they did the starship enterprise. but gameplay was ok but i hate the ships exploding. it suck!. they could have did better. it's a good game but if they make another game, make it better, like star trek voyager elite force.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Less than I had expected
This game look promising but it had some fatal flaws. There were no training level. The control is too complicated to figure out. The action sequences get very repetitive after awhile. This game resemble the first target shooting game of Interplay's Starfleet Academy - Starfleet Command. Unless you are a die hard gamer, this game is not for the average game player.
