Editorial Review:
Description: Originally produced by Republic Pictures, the Red Ryder movies were based on the character created by Fred Harman for his newspaper comic strip, which ran from 1938 to 1964. Legends has it that Red Ryder and his faithful sidekick Little Beaver would go wherever needed, to defend the innocent, bring crooks to justice and restore the peace. There's plenty of double-barreled action in this double-feature starring Allan "Rocky" Lane as the Red Ryder and Bobby Blake as Little Beaver. In the first part of our double-bill, Stagecoach To Denver, villains are prepared to kill a child that stands in the way of their money unless Red Ryder can stop them. This is Lane's second outing as the Red Ryder. In the second film, Vigilantes Of Boomtown, Red Ryder is kidnapped when he is mistaken for a prizefighter training for a championship fight in Carson City. Eventually he is able to escape and foil the plans of the gang of outlaws intent on looting the town's people. Bonus Features: Interview of Peggy Stewart from VCI archives| Photo Gallery of Posters and Comic Book Art| Previews of other VCI Classic Westerns| Actor Bios| Scene Selection. Specs: DVD9; Dolby Digital Mono; 112 minutes; B&W; 1.33:1 Aspect Ratio; MPAA - NR; Year - 1946-1947; SRP - $19.99.
