I had this for PS1 back in the day. But my PS1 finally died a year or two ago. I do have a PS2, but my copy of Resident Evil 2 had scratched to the point that the PS2 couldn't read it. But, I just happen to have a Gamecube because of Resident Evil 4, so this is great! I also bought the Resident Evil Nemesis for Gamecube for the same reason. They are both really good, and haven't lost anything in the transfer from PS1 to Gamecube. But I wouldn't recommend Resident Evil 0 or 1 for Gamecube. I didn't ... Read More

First of all let me say that my introduction into the Resident Evil series was R.E.4 which is considered by many (so far including myself) to be the pinnacle of the series in spite of a few of its quirks. Also playing the Gamecube version of the original Resident Evil afterwards while not overall as good was still a fantastic game as far as giving me a good, girly scream inducing, scare. It may just be a port of the Playstation version, but who gives? It's a must have for RE fans and in my opinion, it is the best of the classic RE games. Corny voice acting and crappy graphics but it's a port from the PS1 so you gotta understand, it's not a remake.
