Did not live up to expectations, drags a bit, hard for an adult to sit through and watch.

Got this for my daughter for Easter. She is 3, almost 4. She LOVES it. Has watched it over and over. It's not epic animation, and some of the jokes based on very grown-up movies from the 70's and 80's go right over her head. But not in a bad way. The cartoons are perfect for her age and not too negative, as some early cartoons are. My 7 yr old son also watched it, and thought it was okay -he was concerned it might be too girly- but it isn't especially. I thought it was cute, and pretty funny ... Read More

This is a review of a series of Hello Kitty DVDs released by MGM in 2003: HK Becomes a Princess, HK Saves the Day, HK Tells Fairy Tales, HK Goes to the Movies, and HK Plays Pretend. These five discs have also been bundled together into the Diamond Collection, as well as paired into a Plays Pretend/Saves The Day 2-Pack (alt url). Finally there's a "Triple Feature DVD Set" with the discs for Princess, Saves The Day, and Fairy Tales all in one case (this might be exclusive to Target). Whew! Amazon may ... Read More

My girls have been asking for a Hello Kitty show for a while and I finally broke down and ordered these titles (Fairy Tales, Princess, Movies). The stories are very cute. The animation so-so. But when these go on, even my 8 year old son will pop in to watch. The episodes are based on classic tales that are "kitty-fied" with nothing violent or scary.

Okay - I am fairly new with the Hello Kitty series, but being that I have a 3 year old daughter, I am getting indoctrinated. This DVD is really cute and very funny because it contains Hello Kitty take-offs of very popular movies. My 5 year old son enjoys it as well - and it is not hard to watch (unlike some sappy princess things.) If you have to go with a Hello Kitty, and there may be a boy involved in watching, this one is decent.
