Jon Bon Jovi stars in this trashy but pretty entertaining horror flick. Vampires: Los Muertos centers on vampire hunter-for-hire Derek Bliss (Bon Jovi), who gets bounties from the likes of the "Van Helsing Group" for every bloodsucker he destroys. When a new client hires him to hunt down a particularly powerful vampire queen in Mexico, he reluctantly starts to form a team--only to discover that all his potential posse members have just been killed. But soon he gathers a haphazard crew (including Diego Luna from Y Tu Mama Tambien and Natasha Wagner from Lost Highway) and sets off across the hot Mexican landscape. Vampires: Los Muertos has some gaps in logic, but it's pretty lean and spry--in the first 10 minutes, the vampire queen has already bitten off someone's tongue--and it has enough cheap eye candy to be a satisfying low-budget flick. --Bret Fetzer

A movie doesn't get much more average than this, I didn't love it, I didn't hate it, it was just ok. It's basically the same as the first movie, which I enjoyed, but just not done as well. You have the second string of actors, who really aren't likeable, they just have no personality and all feel very wooden. If you saw John Carpenter's Vampires, then you've already seen this movie, you've just seen it done better.

This is a sequel to John Carpenter's Vampires, a minor hit that saw pilgrim director Carpenter return to form and break the cliches of vampire films. This is not bad and not good either, as they changed the whole film from its initial release- they sold out and started marketing it at African Americans. Vampires-Los Muertos was quite an entertaining movie in my opinion. OK, so it wasnt on the same level as Vampires with James woods but Jon Bon Jovi did a good job playing the vampire slayer. Im a huge fan of Vampire flicks and I have to admit that the acting in this movie wasnt as good as the first but still a decent Vampire flick nevertheless. Interview with a Vampire is my all time Fav.

i didn't even see this movie and I know it sucks. All that I had to see was Bon Jovi and I threw the video to the ground as hard as i could muster at the video store where i was promptly kicked out. It was worth it though, it actually was offensive that such a thing could exist. The vampire genre could be so awesome and yet very few films live up to its potential. I guess it also lends itself to complete drivle such as "Vampires - Los Muertos".
