Stephen Somers did a fantastic job directing this movie! Somers take on The Mummy is set in the 1920's because, adds Somers, "...it's the most romantic era." The principal photography was set in Morocco in May 1998. Hamunaptra "The City of the Dead" was built near the Moroccan town of Erfoud. The set took sixteen weeks to be constructed. Also the visual effects in this movie are nothing short of amazing. Especially watching Imhotep slowly regenerate himself.

These movies are so great. They make you want to wet your pants in some parts from fright and sometimes in laughter. Having them both in a nice case is a great way to display them to the world. Also, make sure you watch them and then go to Universal Studios Hollywood and go through the maze. I wanted to cry the whole way through because the movies made the maze so life like.

First of all I have to tell, Diffences between Single Disc Collector's Edition & The Ultimate Edition of The Mummy are not a big deal. In The Mummy Ultimate Edition which has been released in two discs, You'll got a DTS soundtrack which is great, but not a big deal. on first disc you have three audio commentaries instead of one in Collector's edition Which is not a big deal either. ... I LOVED THE MUMMY/ AND THE MUMMY RETURNS IM WAITING ON THE NEXT MUMMY MOVIE. BRENDON FRAISER IS HALARIOUS, HE MADE THE MOVIE WHAT IT WAS. IF YOU WANT TO BUY ANY MOVIE FOR A COLLECTION THIS WOULD BE IT I JUST BOUGHT BOTH MOVIES AND EVEN LET MY CHILDREN WATCH IT. THERE IS NO BLOOD AND GORE IN THIS MOVIE, LIKE SOME OTHERS, BUT TO ME IT'S ACTION PACKED. I GAVE THE MOVIES 5 STARS
