The game parallels the motion picture's story line, steering you through a progression of challenges that begins with the hunt for Uncle Ben's murderer and ends with a final showdown with the Green Goblin. You begin as Peter Parker dressed in his wrestling costume and must defeat a variety of thugs throughout each level before advancing to the next set of challenges. The game gets progressively tougher as you encounter, in turn, Shocker, the Vulture, Scorpion, and, of course, the Green Goblin.
Visually, Spider-Man is a treat: cityscapes unfold in realistic detail and are enhanced by sunlight shining between buildings; cutscenes offer seamless animation; interiors are painstakingly re-created; and Spider-Man and his enemies are well rendered, moving about the screen in clean fashion. Just purchased an Xbox and purchased Spiderman for my 8 year old grandson and it has a great tutoral to help you navigate. It was fun to see his expression when he was able to play the game.

This game hasn't aged at all! Here it is in 2007 and I played this game again and it is just as fun as when I originally bought it! This game is more based on the movie than actually a game for the movie. Scorpion, Vulture, Shocker and Kraven weren't in the movie but they are featured on this game along with the Green Goblin which just adds more gameplay to this really fun adventure. If u r looking for a game i highly advise u don't buy this game. it has it's 1 little moment but it is 2 hard and 2 boring i have had this game for 1 year and i havn't got pass the stink'n 1st level! The only good thing is being able to beat the living dog crap out of people. DON'T BUY THIS GAME!

Thanks god I got this game from a friend of mine, I borrowed the game from him, and the game was good yeah, but very, very hard! (And no, Im not really into Spiderman..)
The Graphics 8/10: are very detailed and smooth, specially in the outdoor levels, the lightning effect of the game arent that perfect. Did a blind man design the camera system? You can't see who is attacking you! You're getting your butt handed to you becuase you are encircled by a gang and are helpless to do anything about it? W T F????
This game COULD have been awesome, THANK GOD they got it right with spiderman 2. It's a shame because the graphics are good, but the controls are AWFUL.
