No, these are not The Shorts. Yes, the title of the DVD is misrepresentative. So, you gotta' learn to read! For what it is, it's indispensable.
The little documentary is nicely done, although the facts are not always correct. It presents an idealized version of their life stories (like Larry having such a perfect marriage, which is FAR from true!). The title of this DVD is rather misleading; I understand why some people feel disgruntled because it didn't have any shorts on it but instead had a bunch of rarities and documentaries. With a title like 'All-Time Favorites,' one would logically expect something better-known and more beloved than things that only a completist, not a casual fan, would be really interested in seeing. This DVD contains four programs. The first is a short documentary about the history of the three stooges. Stooge fans will know most of this history, but the home movies of Moe and Shemp with their familes, as well as footage of Curly on his wedding day make it worthwile. The second is highlights of a Stooge convention. I didnt find it all that interesting, though it was fun to see family members of the boys, like Larry and Shemp's grandchildern and Moe and Curlys daughters.

ok, this dvd is just fine. it is basically a documentary about the stooges' life and times.
but what i am disappointed with is the publicity of this dvd. it has been advertised as "three stoges - all time favourites"... so probably, you will expect the 'all time favourite' episodes, which is not the case. no where on this dvd is it stated that this is a documentary.
only recommended for someone doing a research on the stooges' private lives.

This DVD, put out by Anchor Bay, is a collection of three previous VHS's. This has "Family Album", a short documentary, and also has the best picture/sound quality version of "Jerks Of All Trades", and the only version of "Kook's Tour". This is not a budget, but is the "definitive" release, officially approved by Comedy 3(owners of the Three Stooges publishing rights).
