Amazon.com Product Description: In Batman: Vengeance, the gritty underworld of Gotham ignites as Batman becomes the target of a nerve-rattling conspiracy. After the Joker plummets to his death in an attempt to kill Batman, Gotham's criminals quickly escalate their schemes to gain power. Batman discovers subtle links in these seemingly unrelated crimes, but is forced undercover after being framed for an attack on Commissioner Gordon. Hunted by the police, the Dark Knight must pinpoint the unseen enemy weaving this sinister web before Gotham City falls to a fiery demise.
Batman: Vengeance introduces the most versatile 3-D Batman game yet, with more than 500 animated movements, special fighting moves, and a multifunctional cape with its own AI. For the first time, players can journey through a fully rendered 3-D Gotham City with Batman's sleek weapons and devices at their fingertips, including the BatGrapple, BatScope, Batarang, BatLauncher, flash bombs, and more. There is a huge array of gameplay modes: exploring, fighting, first-person shooter, driving, flying, freefall, and puzzles.
The Gotham City environment, reconstructed in full 3-D, contains 19 playable maps, including the rooftops, Gotham Industrial Research, and the Batcave. There are also more than 40 minutes of cinematics featuring the original voice cast of TV's The New Batman Adventures. The game's original story line was collaboratively written by Warner Bros. and DC Comics from the files of The New Batman Adventures. The Dolby 5.1 surround sound soundtrack features original music inspired by the TV series.

This game is actually fun. I've read the other reviews and I felt that I had to rebut them. If you like games like Grand Theft Auto Vice City, then this game would be below average. If you are looking for a game that is simple and fun, much like the old-school beat 'um ups, then this is a great game. There are no complex puzzles here. And there are no vast cities or levels here. It's just button-mashing like the good old days. So if you feel the urge to do some button-mashing to forget a stressful ... Read More

Batman Vengeance is a really good game, not great but really good. However, the method for saving a game in progress is the worst. You have to quit the game and then save it. I have not played any game that had that kind of idiotic save method before. No automatic saving in this game. I had played this game the first day I got it for like six hours straight which is a lot for me because I am a busy man and it was extremely fun and exciting because of the great story, sound effects, and brilliant ... Batman: Vengeance drops players into the universe from the popular animated shows. While this has been accepted as one of the better Batman-based video games, I found it a really frustrating experience. The game has its moments, but too many control issues killed the experience for me.
The main reason fans will want to pick this up is to hear the voice talent from the cartoon reprise their roles, including Kevin Conroy, Tara Strong, and Mark Hamil. The plot isn't terribly special - it tries to ... Read More

Man alive, is this game bad or what? The graphics are way below par, even if it were on a playstation 1, never mind a Gamecube. The gameplay is pathetic and the camera movements disorientating. What a worthless game!
I totally love Warner's Batman animation and it's cool that they do all the games in this way. Batman: Vengeance could well have turned out great as they got off to a good start by keeping all the gothic visuals and voice actors but they seriously stumbled when it came to playability ... Read More

I hate the fact that a few negative aspects in a game can cause people to start spit firing out one star reviews. I think this game is suffering from alot of that. While the controls are less than perfect and the camera angles can have you cursing like a sailor time to time this isn't a bad game. You are given alot of versatility with the Dark Knight. You can freely explore areas and getting further in the game is more fun than frustrating. This is also one of the few games that you can navigate through without ... Read More
