This series is what made me a Patrick Duffy fan. He played a great role in this series. Sadly I have wanted to purchase this series for along time and did purchase one of the DVD copies that was advertised on the net. Other people that are interested in this series should not fall for the same trap that I did as the DVD's I received were absolute rubbish and not one of them played properly. They were not cheap either. Please wait till it has been officially.

I was a teenager when this series first aired. I was an instant fan, even though the subsequent episodes didn't try to explore fresh new plotlines that I had hoped for. I still remember parts of the TV Guide interviews with some of the cast, where Victor Buono mentioned the problems Patrick Duffy had with those contacts (these were custom-made glass pieces, expensive to make, and actually partially enclosed the eye, as plastic contacts had not yet been introduced) as acting "with golf balls stuck ... I have the VHS version of the premier, however, sadly I don't have a TV right now. I picked it up overseas while in the military. Coming in the wake of the Six Million Dollar Man, Mark Harris (The Man from Atlantis!) trumped his special powers - strength and speed - by also being able to breath underwater. In a coincidental stroke of luck, most of the threats facing the ... Read More

This was SUCH a good premise, and could have led to some amazing stories, however the last couple of episodes began to drown in Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea sillyness. The pilot was truly excellent, though, and some of the episodes of the series nearly held to that level. The micro-second it comes out on DVD I will be there, and so should you!
