This dandy English import for kids is a winner. Bob the Builder is a spunky series for 3- to 6-year-olds combining two irresistible forces: fun characters and big mechanical things. Bob and his arsenal of friendly machines (Scoop the dump truck, Lofty the crane) have a can-do attitude in this brightly colored animated show; there's even a catchy theme song parents will hum along to with the kids. Nickelodeon brought Bob over the pond in 2001, and it became its biggest debut show ever. This 45-minute collection contains four adventures from the series. In "Bob's Barnraising" Bob and crew must race against the weather to help Farmer Pickle. In "Muccky Muck" Bob and the gang are up to their ears in gooey mud. Bob learns instructions are a good thing in "Wendy Plays Golf," and in "Magnetic Lofty" he finds good use for his talents. The educational merit is not always apparent in this series. Just in case you were wondering the actors displayed in the product info are not the actors doing the voiceovers. Very dissapointed with this asspect, as I specifically bought it because of the British voiceovers. My 2 year old couldn't care less however so all is quiet in our house!

Once again, Bob pulls through with putting a smile on my son's face. You can't imagine how many times my little guy will APPROPRIATELY say, "Can we fix it, Mommy?"...and, of course, I have to come back with "YES WE CAN!". Although, sometimes I do have to tell him we have to wait for Dad to come home with certain things around the house. Point is, this video (along with "Dig, Lift, Haul! & Bob Saves the Day) uses language appropriately and clearly, shows positive interaction between people, and ... Read More

My son who is 2 1/2 also loves it. He watches it over and over. It has replaced his Barney and Sesame Street which I'm glad. :)

I'll keep this short and sweet. If you want to see your kids roll on the floor holding their bellies in laughter then purchase this video! The Bob's Barnraising and Mucky Muck episodes have delightfully funny stuck in the mud humor with spinning wheels in the mud, and of course mud flying everywhere. There is a down and dirty playful mud "fight" between Spud, Dizzy, and Muck. Lastly, they all get a very soapy, tickilish scrub brush bath in the end! Muddy good fun and lots of laughter for all!
