i love this movie i usto watch it when i was younger and i recently was trying to figure out what this movie was called and than i seen it on tv and watched it and it was the movie!! i recoded it on my dvr untill i can buy it!!

This film is very predictable and is by no means original. Yet with that said, I enjoyed it. It has been a long time since a film has caused me to cry.
I just saw the movie on Starz and am adding it to my DVD library.

I'm a straight guy's guy, and I enjoyed "Beautiful" very much. Why? Because of the touching performance by Joey Lauren Adams as Ruby, devoted friend to Minnie Driver's Mona. Joey made Ruby a sweet, kind, generous, admirable young woman who gave so much to others and received so little in return. Each of Joey's performances has been special in its own way, but her role in "Beautiful" tops them all in my book. My wife (and our youngest) and I have enjoyed watching this cute film several times,(even though my wife was a pageant contestant all through her teens) this is a great film about self esteem, friendship, vanity, growing up and responsibility.
