This album starts rather slowly after a very nice intro. The first 3 or 4 songs can get rather boring. After, that it starts to pick up rather nicely. The dopest track on here is toast to the boogie, where 3 students are introuducing the students in the talent show. I only wish my high could have been this funky. The album definetly grows on you because it is so real, and ends up being very refreshing to listen to. Every track just wants to make you :-)

First thing first, this album is weird. It is a compilation of funk and soul, (mostly) instumental music recorded by High School marching bands in the seventies. It was compiled by the mysterious Motorcycle John (aka DJ Shadow). Most of the tracks are rather tedious and dull. They are instrumental songs in which the instruments are played badly. Really badly.
