My father liked this puzzle so much he bought 2 of them before his death. He did get around to assembling one of them before he realizes he had a duplicate. Ravensburger puzzles, in general and with regards to the larger piece-count puzzles, make great gifts that can be assembled, taken apart, and then reassembled many times. I've had this puzzle for about 3-4 months now, and I've only assembled the edge pieces and a few of the internal pieces. This is a very challenging puzzle.
I recommend that those who have alot of time on their hands and a very big table or wooden board purchase this puzzle.
It's GREAT!!
