I teach my middle school students how to create strategy games. I don't know how I come across this game, but I saw via boardgamegeek.com that this game's mechanics (battle card driven, simultaneous action selection, and trick taking) were an unusual combination for a kid's game. I get the impression that the makers couldn't decide between a role-playing game or a more traditional board game. Rather than be a simple, roll the dice, move your piece, do what the space you land on says, there can be any number of actions taken.

After reading other reviews, I purchased this game for my 3 and 5 year olds -
I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun we had!
The younger one played with Daddy as adults must read and explain the game as it goes along - but the way the game is set up in "rounds" makes it easy and fun.
The times printed on the cards make it educational too, in teaching which time is earlier etc.
Don't overlook this game just because it says for 8 and above!

My daughters got this one for Christmas and I was expecting a "roll the dice and move to the end of the board" kind of game. Boy was I surprised! My family have all enjoyed this one. This includes gamers like myself that need something interesting to keep my going and gamers like my wife who want something with easy rules. This game gives us a good balance -- not hard to learn but unique rules that make it different.

This is a cute game that everyone can play, it helps with reading, counting and having fun. My daughter recieved this for her 7th birthday from me, I thought it would be cute and I was right, a little tricky until you read through the directions but you need only to read one time and you will get the hang of it.....it has been over a year now and we still play this game all the time!!!!
