Editorial Review:
Product Description: Return to America's favorite hometown for a heapin' helpin' of heartwarming humor. Do you know how far Raleigh was from Mayberry? How about the name of the town drunk? If you do- or if you want to find out- this is the game for you! Players roll the dice and move their pawns along the colorful game board. Each space is designated with a question category: true/false, multiple choice and specific answers. Answer correctly and get another turn. The first player to reach The End wins! Aint Bee would be so proud. Game contains game board, die, four pawns, and one box of trivia cards (1,000 questions). For 2 to 4 players.
Editorial Review: Take a stroll down Main Street with Opie and Barney in the Andy Griffith Show Trivia Game. It's fairly simple to play: Just roll the die and move your pawn around the spiral. Each space asks you to answer a true-or-false, multiple-choice, or single-answer question related to the show and its characters. Some of the queries are pretty tough, asking for particular names of characters who appeared in only one episode, for example, while others are pretty easy--can you name the town barber? Play takes an hour or two, and even if you're not a fan, you'll soon be nostalgic and checking your TV listings for reruns. --Rob Lightner

First off, we're big fans of Andy and the gang.
Just not fans of this "game".
Granted, they have tons of trivia questions, some of which you'll never guess even being a fan of the show.

There is no game fun to this product. No "Go back 10 spaces", "Go ahead 10 spaces" "Lose a turn" or anything
They could ... Read More

This game is really fun and very challenging getting the right answers. I have the whole AG DVD collection and watch them repeatedly and still was challenged on the questions. It was a lot of fun.

This is a very fun game to play! It is very hard if you don't watch the show all that often or haven't seen it in a while. But, if you watch the show regularly, you will do well at this game!

In the right company - a chapter of "The Andy Griffith Show Rerun Watchers Club," for instance, or any group of Mayberry-minded cronies - this game can be a lot of fun. Beware, though, if your opponents are only casual watchers: They'll be bored and you'll win handily, but without satisfaction, every time.
The main problem with this game is its lack of drama. Play consists of rolling a single die and answering trivia questions (true/false, specific answer, multiple choice) to advance ... Read More
