Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
New York "Superstar DJ" Keoki, in becoming a well-known and successful mixologist, has consistently displayed a great ear for source material and an ambitious nature. The 1998 release Inevitable Alien Nation made great use of those abilities, showing off an instinctual feel for seamless, club-friendly transitions and a knack for surprises that brought variety and range to the mix. DJ Mixed.com is a concept album of sorts, representing a new live broadcast/DJ mix site that will also feature news and information on all aspects of electronic music culture. As a mixture of trance, breaks, and light house beats, the disc works fine as a primer for Keoki's Web site, but starts slowly, and overall it doesn't stand up to the standards set by his previous work. Still, some tracks bump the funk with serious aplomb, like the grimy record-opening vocal refrains of DJ Rush's "Grind Me Baby." Elsewhere, the record makes sly turns from deep trance to club-friendly sample work. Midway through the record, Deep Cover's "Breakthrough" morphs briefly into the bubbly melody of Real Life's 1980s pop standard "Send Me an Angel." The mix then twists into a dark house vibe, followed by a seamless rise and fall in musical temperament and rhythmic dexterity that would keep any dance floor heavily populated and drenched in sweat. Though a sometimes inconsistent effort, the disc kicks off Keoki's Web site with decent energy, and continues, especially in its second half, to do what Keoki has always done--blow the roof off the joint. --Matthew Cooke

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - unimpressive..
I really dont see what all the fuss is about here. As a huge trance fan I recognize that there are all different styles and so everyones got their own tastes, but this cd was just dissapointing. First off, I really couldent classify it at all. I didnt sense any progressiveness or hard beats, and hardly any trance like tunes from what I could hear, either! I couldent chill to it, it was mostly just noise. This is the only piece ive heard of keoki so I wont totally destroy it but..I wouldent reccomend ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Well Done Keoki!!
Wow, I'm very surprized!! Keoki, after years of not putting out a Dj Mixed CD, comes back in good 'ol fasioned Keoki style!! Although he takes a different selection of music this time around, I loved it, and I will never give it up! This CD brings a wonderful blend of Trance, House and some other wonderful sounds together to make one of the best Dj Mixes I've heard in a while!! But, on the other hand, you should definitly listen to a few tracks before you buy it. If you don't like the "Breakbeat", ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - got me into it the first place
a couple of years ago, while waiting to deal with a complete... nitwit to sell a house, we met the moron in borders and i got bored with the procedings and started to listen to this in the racks. it really stuck with me and i went back and bought it. i was soooo hooked by keoki.
every track is so great.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Decent
First of all if I didn't know who was mixing this CD I would of never known it was Keoki. It is a very different approach for the once promimnent DJ, I can't really bring myself to like it or dislike so thats a good thing I suppose... Oh well what can you do, "Big up the noise", "Expand the room", "Entracement",
"Seven Crossroads of the world" & "Walkaway" are good tracks, but try to listen to this one before you go buying it.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Different than the Keoki I am used to but still good.
This is a pretty good cd. The last track is the best until the very end. I HATE the way this cd ends and usually bolt to stop my stop button so that I don't have to hear the last few seconds of the cd. If you have heard it before you know what I am talking about.
