Editorial Review:
Amazon.com: In the animated feature that precedes this CD, Scooby Doo joins up with Velma, Shaggy, and the gang to solve the mystery of the Witch's Ghost. Both silly and spooky, the soundtrack features tunes from Witch's Ghost, as well as selections from its predecessor, and original songs by the Hex Girls, who were assembled for this project. Headed up by former Go-Go Jane Wiedlin, the Hex Girls posture and bounce through their numbers, copping sounds from rocker-girl progenitors Pat Benatar, Blondie's Debbie Harry, and Wiedlin's old chipmunk-punk crew. Delightfully daffy, rhyme schemes run toward "The Witch's Ghost / if she catches us we're toast" and we got "packs and packs and packs / of Scooby snacks." Littered with 'toon talk like "Zoinks!" and "Jinkies!" the disc packs a playful wallop with Billy Ray Cyrus hamming up Scooby's famous surf-rock theme song. A Hanna-Barbera classic for the next generation. --Paige La Grone

My daughter would watch the movie over and over to hear the Hex Girls song. I bought her this cd as a surprise and she was so excited to have it. The songs are great. If you have seen the movie then you have heard the songs and already know.

I don't know why, but for some reason, the two songs from Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island are not sung by the original group (Skycycle) who sang them. And while "The Ghost is Here" sounds fine, TTA was horribly redone. The new singer has a nasally voice and delivers several parts of the song poorly. Unfortunately, the original version of TTA is not on any other Scooby Doo CD, nor is it on any of the 2 albums released by Skycycle. So for those who want to listen to the awesome original version of It's ... Read More

Overall I thought it was a good movie, epecially the Hex Girls because they are super cool. I felt like they were contridictary with the witch theme however. Because many wiccans nowdays are witches and to still portray witches as bad was kind of conflicting. Music was great though.

This is a very cute album.
First up we get the Scooby-Doo theme song done in a brand new way by Billy Ray Cyrus. After that there are seven songs by The Hex Girls (the goth group featured in the movie). This is the main reason I got the CD. I really like their songs 'Hex Girl', 'Earth Wind Fire and Air' and 'It's a Mystery'. The latter of which has a really cool melody.
Only one track is dedicated to Louis Febre's score though. However he has released a promo CD all his cues ... Read More
