Accompanying the film Muppets in Space, wherein the gang goes in search of Gonzo's hitherto unknown lineage, this soundtrack features classic '70s funk that's good for the soul. G. Love and Special Sauce shine on their poppin'-with-flava cover of Brick's "Dazz" and George Clinton gets down with new Muppet star, Pepe, on "Starlight," a reworking of his classic "Flashlight." A party atmosphere is evident from the first strains of the Dust Brothers cover of "Shining Star" through to the Alien Gonzos rockin' out on the dance favorite "Celebration." Other high moments come in the form of James Brown's enthused "Get Up Offa That Thing" and the Commodores still superfabulous horn and bass driven "Brick House," both guaranteed to promote bustin' a move till the whole family's dizzy with pleasure. --Paige La Grone

Containing all your favorite songs from the 70's, this CD is like nothing that I ever heard befoe. Plus, the movie is extremely funny, as well. It's something that only the Muppets could do!

This is one of my favorite soundtracks ever, because it's just so darned fun! Collected here is some of the best funk music around. A real highlight is the duet with George Clinton and Pepe! But don't get me wrong, the Muppets themselves only appear on 3 songs, the rest are preformed by humans. The only track I don't listen to is the last one, a remix of the classic Gonzo song, "I'm Going To Go Back There Someday". I love all the funk in this album especially the song George Clinton does with Pepe. This is a great album for those that want a good sample of music.

I bought this for my four-year-old son who loved the movie and we dance to it all the time. I am 37 years-old and most of the songs are straight out of my youth. If we want to get up off our thangs and funk up with it we blast this cd. My one-year-old loves it too!

I love the muppets! This album gets my award for best soundtrack of the year...just a whole bunch of fun guaranteed to leave you full of funk action for days...
