With the inclusion of "Tapioca Tundra," FLASHBACK's DAYDREAM BELIEVER And Other Hits corrects an error common to most previous single-disc "Best Of" MONKEES compilations. Nine of the songs heard on this compilation come from The Monkees' singles. The tenth song is "You Can't Tie a Mustang Down," a serviceable reject that's about a minute too long which was unreleased until its' appearance on this CD.
The good news is that "Daydream Believer," "D.W. Washburn" and "It's Nice to Be With You" are finally heard in their original single mixes, which have become uncommon in the CD era. Every Monkees fan worth their salt may already have these songs at least once, ... Read More

Don't get me wrong...there are some great tracks on here. Such as 'Tapioca Tundra', 'Pleasant Valley Sunday', 'Oh My My', 'It's Nice To Be With You', the title track and 'Words'. It's basically a budget priced compilation with 9 tracks that every Monkees fan worth their salt already has at least once. With the exception of 'You Can't Tie A Mustang Down', the sole previously unissued recording. It's sung by Davy, circa '66- '67 (I'm guessing), and completely worthless as a song.
