Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Oldies guy
Hats off to the seller. Great condition for the price. I was very young when the Monkees hit the sceen still love the music.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Monkees First Album, Part II
More of the Monkees, could easily have been the second of a Double-Album featuring it and the band's debut album. There is a consistency between the two albums. One leads directly into the next.

But in "More of," we hear a band that, while stlylistically in near-perfect alignment with the debut, comes off as a much more confident, even cocky, group of overnight superstars. While clearly not in control of their musical direction, they begin to spread their wings and with "Headquarters" ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Bubblegum Isn't Always Bad
Well, this was the Monkees second album, and it shot straight up to number 1, knocking their first album (which still held that spot) to number 2. However, as most people know the album was pretty much made by Don Kirshner, and as the story goes, the Monkees didn't even know the album was out, until they saw it at a store. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - My Favorite Monkees Album
This cd brings back so many fond memories. It was very powerful at the time of its release - powerful for a seven year old, that is. The songs hold up extremely well, even today. With some of the best song writers of the day working for them like: Neil Sedaka, Neil Diamond, Boyce & Hart, Carol King, etc., how can you miss? Favorite songs include:Mary, Mary, Steppin' Stone, Look Out Here Comes Tomorrow and my all-time favorite: "I'm a Believer."

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - The music is funny.
This was the Monkees second album. It was hastily slapped together to cash in on the Monkees growing popularity. It is definitely a mixed bag. There are some great songs and some downright awful songs. All the songs that Micky sings are great, especially the classic hits "Steppin' Stone" and "I'm a Believer". Mike's one vocal, "The Kind of Girl I Could Love", is a solid effort. And Peter's sole vocal, "Your Auntie Grizelda", is an amusing novelty song. The album's weakest parts come from Davy. "Look ...
