Well, unforgivings apart (only two Jan Hammer's compositions), a true Miami Vice album, related essentially to the fourth season. That season was not the best for sure, but it had its moments, and we can say they almost redeem the weak points on it. The few really good episodes just save and make it remarkable in an odd way. I believe the themes from the first year to be the most potent, and most enjoyable listening, primarily because of the variety presented. Evidently, it's no longer available. Too bad.

This album takes its theme from the less-inspired fourth season of the show. There's really nothing special on it until the final track, an original composition by Jan Hammer. One day, MCA will release a box-set of Hammer's complete recordings for Miami Vice. We must all keep praying.
