I first became aware of The Outcry when they opened for one of my favorite bands, Big Wreck at a small club in Sea Bright NJ in '98. I wasn't the only one in the crowd who was impressed by these guys...you know how laid back most people are during an opening band. Well, they really won over the crowd and made a huge impression on yours truly. It took a while, but i finally found a copy of "This Side Of Anywhere" at a local record store, and on the first listen, i knew i had found something special. ... Read More

This cd really rocked. The lead singer had such a great voice. The drummer was a master at his craft who reminded me of Neil Peart from Rush. The guitarist played some really neat, clean licks. All in all, I thought this was a great cd from a band who I think will be hitting it BIG real soon. I wish I lived in the Jersey shore so I could see the play a live show. I'm sure I'll see them someday, because these guys are going to be around for a LONG LONG TIME!!!

bad lyrics in every song. i do NOT reccommend this album to ANYONE, just bad, bad-stuff-lovers.
p.s. it's just too bad they had to mix the great, just absolutely great music in informant with bad, just absolutely bad lyrics. it's just too bad!

In fact they have become veterans of the Jersey shore scene, and this month will be releasing their first CD on a major record label. "This Side ... Read More

Having grown up on the Jersey shore, I have taken an interest in local bands. On a fluke, I picked up Outcry's "This Side of Anywhere"(it was originally released by the band itself before they signed their record deal). Needless to say, "This side of anywhere has become one of my favorite CDs. Led by lead singer Jason Stanley, "This side of Anywhere" combines the excitment of a live show and the perfection of a studio recording. Unlike many bands today, Mr. Stanley's lyrics have meaning to them. Songs ... Read More
