This album is more of an individual effort by each of the Monkees, and does not have as many rock songs as their previous albums, but there are some great songs like Auntie's Municipal Court and Tapioca Tundra.

The Birds, the Bees & the Monkees is thirty-seven minutes long and was released on April 22, 1968. This CD is an eclectic blend of maybe not so known Monkees songs. The most interesting and haunting tunes were written and sung by Mike Nesmith. He even used some special sound effects that gave authenticity to the song Magnolia Sims. I love this CD. It is not bubble gum music that you may expect.
