Missing Links is 41 minutes and 54 seconds long and was released on July 6, 1987. The CD never charted. With the exception to Apples, Peaches, Bananas, and Pears, none of the other songs never made it to any of their albums or on the show. Apples, Peaches, Bananas, and Pears was feature on the show, but not on any album. Also Teeny Tiny Gnome correct title is Kicking Stones. I like all of the songs on it. Also the song that should of been a hit, but never got a chance, All of Your Toys. For some ... Read More

This collection of missing links has some good songs, but you could see why many of these were left off the Monkees albums. In my opinion, this is definitely the worst of the three Missing Links albums...they really improve with the other two. The solid collection of Mike songs is the only thing that really saves this album. Here are my reviews of the songs:

This is a collection of previously unreleased Monkees songs. Frankly, it's a mixed bag. There are some good songs here, alongside some not so good songs. Then there are curiosities like "Apples, Peaches, Bananas and Pears", which is a decent song, but sounds a bit too much like "Last Train to Clarksville". "My Share is of the Sidewalk" is a strange ... Read More

Nothing on here you really haven't heard before, except it has a gem of a song that's overlooked by many fans.
"If You Have the Time" has forgettable lyrics and vocals, but its keyboard/synth track is fantastic, and the CD version really brings that out.

Make no mistake; most of the tracks in Rhino's Missing Links series weren't good enough to be released in the first place. Listening to one of these discs is like fumbling around an ice chest full of Yoo-Hoo hoping to find a forgotten Pepsi. This volume is especially disappointing, since the gems here (All Of Your Toys, Nine Times Blue, and Carlisle Wheeling) can be heard as bonus tracks on other CDs. That leaves a lot of room for songs that sound like Davy is just making it up as he goes along (So ... Read More
