Editorial Review:
Album Description: A collection of rare and unreleased studio tracks from 1966-1968.

This collection of missing links has some good songs, but you could see why many of these were left off the Monkees albums. In my opinion, this is definitely the worst of the three Missing Links albums...they really improve with the other two. The solid collection of Mike songs is the only thing that really saves this album. Here are my reviews of the songs:

This is a collection of previously unreleased Monkees songs. Frankly, it's a mixed bag. There are some good songs here, alongside some not so good songs. "I Don't Think You Know Me", "All of Your Toys" and "Nine Times Blue" are great songs. Most of the songs here that Davy Jones wrote are bad songs. Listening to one of these discs is like fumbling around an ice chest full of Yoo-Hoo hoping to find a forgotten Pepsi. This volume is especially disappointing, since the gems here (All Of Your Toys, Nine Times Blue, and Carlisle Wheeling) can be heard as bonus tracks on other CDs. That leaves a lot of room for songs that sound like Davy is just making it up as he goes along (So ... Read More
