Editorial Review:
Amazon.com: Had rock & roll never happened, the Everly Brothers would probably have become famous as straight-ahead country artists in the tradition of such sibling acts as the Blue Sky Boys and the Louvin Brothers. Once Elvis, Carl Perkins, and crew hit, however, the Everlys joined the budding rockabilly ranks in 1957 and became not only huge stars, but the most influential two-part harmony team of all time. This sterling 20-track collection features all their early hits, from "Bye Bye Love," "Wake Up Little Suzie," "Bird Dog," and "Devoted to You" (all written by the great Boudleaux Bryant) to Roy Orbison's "Claudette" and their own sparkling originals "Til I Kissed You" and "When Will I Be Loved." --Billy Altman

A fantastic find for someone that grew up in the 50's and didn't buy the records then.

Cadence Classics: Their 20 Greatest Hits is a fine Everly Brothers CD that truly gives us twenty great hits--there's not a dud in the bunch! The sound quality is excellent; and I like the artwork as well.
The album starts with "Bye Bye Love;" this early hit for the brothers sounds fresh even today. They harmonize so well; and the guitars really carry the melody along nicely. "I Wonder If I Care As Much" features The Everly Brothers front and center as they sing this tune about a love ... Read More

This too was a gift for my husband that he hasn't gotten yet. We both loved the Everly Bros., so I know we'll both enjoy this a lot.

This is an excellent CD featuring 20 of the Everly Brothers best recordings for Cadence Records. There isn't a bad song in the bunch. The only quibble I have is that they could have fit at least 10 more songs on the CD. "Be Bop A-Lula", for instance, is a great song that got left off. Still, 20 songs is more than a lot of Greatest Hits CDs include, so I recommend getting this CD.
