The cover pictured is not the CD reviewed. I have informed Amazon of this through their give feedback on images button but they cannot verify it because they are "unable to recreate the problem." Really? Because all you should have to do is point both eyeballs at the picture at the same time and then read the first review to know they are two different CD's. If you are looking for the Neal Hefti CD this ain't it. Don't you think a little knowledge about CD's should be required to be on the "verification ... Read More

Tim Burton had successfully worked with Danny Elfman on the music for Pee-wee's Big Adventure and Beetlejuice. But those projects were like hitting a couple of home runs in a minor-league ballpark and then being asked to smack a grand slam out of Yankee Stadium when Burton pencilled Elfman into the starting lineup for this highly-anticipated film that was in the making for nearly a decade.
And Elfman delivered in the clutch.

Danny Elfman gave an award winning composition for this film and rightfully so. To me the score for the film is as important as the film itself. I was raised watching the movie and have always loved Batman and the score for the 89 film just brings up feelings of time forgotten. So if you like the movie or Danny Elfman's style of Composing than is a definite buy, as for others is you enjoy classical music this also a very compelling score, with many highs, lows and the always powerful that Elfman brings. The Batman soundtrack by Danny Elfman is one of the best soundtracks to any movie, ever. There is not a weak track on the whole album. Anybody who has seen the movie remembers the familiar soundtrack. This music is powerful, haunting and gothic at the same time. This music really portrays the darkness of this great movie. This is Danny Elfman's best work, in my opinion. My favorite tracks are 1. The Batman Theme (a classic), 2. Kitchen, Surgery, Face-Off, 3. Flowers (eerie and emotional),
4. Clown Attack, ... Read More

To tell you the truth, I'm a fan of three Batman scores: Danny Elfman's Batman and Batman Returns, Shirley Walker's Batman TAS and Mask of the Phantasm, and Hans Zimmer/James Newton Howard's Batman Begins and the Dark Knight. And when it comes to the classic gothic Batman, I go for Danny Elfman's score.
"Batman" is one of my favorite scores. It has a rugged edge and mystical cosmos. The action sequences are the finest I've ever heard. "Batman to the Rescue," "Attack of the Batwing," and "The Final Confrontation" ... Read More
