Editorial Review:
Amazon.com: Sweeping irresistibly forward like some dream hybrid of Ziggy Stardust, Kashmir-era Zeppelin and German techno, U2's massive "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" launches this disc. Also included are tracks by Brandy (the Lenny Kravitz-produced "Where Are You Now?"), Seal ("Kiss from a Rose"), Eddi Reader ("Nobody Lives Without Love"), and The Devlins ("Crossing the River"). Michael Hutchence butchers Iggy Pop's "The Passenger," but The Offspring mines big fun from The Damned's "Smash It Up." --Jeff Bateman

When they write the history books in the internet of the future, this will be remembered as the greatest record of the second half of the 90s, Radiohead can suck it. The list of artists, the sequencing, the evocation of the glitz and glam and money and power all laced with the undercurrent of darkness of knowing that the whole thing is predicated on vapid hot air? It's sublime, people. This is the Clinton era on 60 minutes of lasers, and it is beautiful.

I can not express how great the music is. The compilation of the music is amazing. Along with a great song by Michael Hutchence called The Passenger makes one inclined to want more.

The guy who calls The Flaming Lips "soft rock", i say one thing. Listen to Clouds Taste Metallic (the album from where Bad Days is from) and then get back to me, and say it again. Geez, i don't mind people having an opinion, but when it's as obviously wrong as the one in the previous post, it makes me wanna punch babies in the face; and i don't wanna punch anyone, let alone babies. Seriously though, The Lips' contribution to this soundtrack is by far the best song here. It's so life affirming, and unpretentious ... Read More
