Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Interesting, But Kind of Repeats Itself
Many of the songs repeat the same rhythm and tend to repeat themselves in the structure. Oh well.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Come and listen to my story
When this album was released, The Beverly Hillbillies was the Number One show on TV. Unfortunately, TV ratings didn't translate into record sales in this case. This album was a flop. It's not a soundtrack to the television show, but rather it's a album of comedy songs sung by the cast. Unfortunately, the songs aren't actually all that funny. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Replaced my worn out vinyl version with this CD!
I have owned the vinyl version of this sountrack for many years and the thing was totally worn out. I was suprised and thrilled to see this had been released on CD and am loving every minute of it! My favorite tune on this is "Vittles" sung by Jed and Granny and it's all about the things they eat ("The very best"). I've had others listen to this Cd and they all love it as well. If you enjoy silliness and downright odd, this CD will not fail!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good as Novelty, But You Ask Why
..this LP was ever recorded?? Columbia issued this LP in 1965 following two successful seasons of the show. It features the cast singing about things from the show (check out the song titles for an idea). It wasn't a success of an LP, and went unnoticed (for the better?). Columbia's budget subsidary Harmony reissued the LP in 1971 as the show was nearing it's end, but still went unnoticed... It's a good novelty record, but no more than that. This is Dr. Demento show material!!...
