There isn't a singer who makes such a vast transition from speaking voice to singing voice anywhere near the league of Jim Nabors. When you hear this CD, you're think is this really coming from the guy who played Lt. Pyle? Can't be!! But do listen. Nabors has impressive talent.

Jim Nabors is etched in most Americans' minds as the happy-go-lucky Gomer Pyle. For too long his finest talent has been overlooked, and this CD is a good start if you want to become familiar with Jim Nabors "The Vocalist."

I have taken a ribbing from my friends for being a fan of this man's music, but his voice is just incredible. Don't be fooled by the country bumpkin he portrayed on Gomer Pyle USMC, and on the Andy Griffith Show. This man can flat out sing. I loved his version of "My Cup Runneth Over", which I already owned by Ed Ames. I like Nabors' version as well, or better.
