This CD, recorded "live" at a Hollywood recording studio shortly before Rick's untimely death in 1985, includes all the essential hits from the 50's and 60's, and yes, 70's (Garden Party). These updated versions of his earlier songs sound great, and a plus is the excellent background vocals provided by Elvis' Jordanaires! In 1984 Rick Nelson and the Jordanaires re-recorded many of Rick's greatest hits. As a result you can hear Rick with a deeper voice than in the 50's/early 60's. Beautiful background harmonies by the Jordanaires(the guys who sang on most of Elvis Presley's hit-records too) and a good band make this album a great experience! Although the re-recordings can't replace the original ones it's a must have for every serious Rock'n Roll fan.

Impressive contents, but terrible quality. Was expecting original recordings. Sounds as though he is in a barrel.
