I bought this CD with a specific purpose in mind: that being, having a friendly contest game with some friends to try to guess the name of the TV show from just hearing a little of the theme music. I did discover one drawback though: namely some of the theme music has lyrics that mention the name of the show so these I had to not use. Otherwise, it'll work quite well.

This LP was produced at a time when no one was putting out such records. If they had have done the leg work and spent some money, TVT could have gotten a lot more original recordings than they did, but they decided to go cheap (to be fair though, they probably couldn't afford a lot, this being their first release). Listening to this collection now re-released on CD shows how little they care. They really should have updated it. I don't think there is one cut on this CD that is from its original ... Read More

This set would have been great if they could have used all original themes from the TV shows presented here. Unfortunately, there are a few that have been re-recorded for various reasons. It's hard to complain when your getting 65 themes in one collection, but the only reason anyone would want these themes is to have the original.

This is a wonderful cd and brings back alot of memories. I had such fun listening and shared it with friends too.

There are three big problems I have with this whole series of CD's.
The first is that a good number of the themes featured on them are lousy renditions of the orginals, or lousy recordings of the originals. For instance, the "Twilight Zone" theme (a reconstruction) sounds as if the studio orchestra didn't work off a score, but just sort of noodled something together that sounded a little like it.
