As a Roy Rogers fan from way back, I found this disc and immediately snapped it up. Even if it cost me $20, it is still a great deal. There are quite a few rare songs I hadn't heard before and some that you can listen to again and again.
For instance, Hi Yo Silver seems to have been recorded for the Lone Ranger movie serial, and it is very cool. Make Believe Cowboy is almost a gift to Roy Rogers fans from Roy himself. There is music from his films here too, and they ... Read More

The caption said this is Roy's ORIGINAL recordings. They sound as good now as they were in the 1940s when Roy Rogers, Sr. was performing in person in Pittsburgh, PA. The voice is mellow and the sound clear. I just came back from Branson, MO where his son, Roy Rogers, Jr. has a show and Jr. sounds a lot like his famous Dad.

I am delighted with this CD. The songs of the 70's are sung so well as only Roy Rogers with his mellow voice can do. I listen to it frequently and share it with all my friends. I of course am a Roy Rogers fan and enjoy all his music as well as his old movies. Modern music can't compare to older tunes of this type which are so true in tune and words.

THIS WAS A GIFT FOR A FRIEND BUT I CAN TELL YOU SHE JUST RAVED ABOUT THE ALL OF THE SONGS. ANY ROY ROGERS FAN WOULD JUST LOVE IT.
