The 4D Man

B-grade Science Fiction film with several names that are very familiar: Robert Lansing and Lee Meriwether (both would end up on Star Trek, and several character roles in sixties television) and Patty Duke (the Patty Duke Show, amongst others). The horns and jazz arrangement at the movie intro was performed by Ralph Carmichael, a big man at Capitol Records, arranged music for Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, well known in Christian music circles and also did the score for The ... this is a good three star or four and even five depending on your IQ in science and people



Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Unusual vehicle for both Lansing and Meriwether
This film was pretty good for the genre with good performances by Lansing and Meriwether.The special effects were all in all,quite good.But it also contains the most bizarre and disconcerting screen kiss ever filmed(between Lansing and Meriwether), that somehow eluded a re-take.The plot is intriguing enough to hold your attention throughout.

This is one of the very few 'horror' (more like scifi) movies that gets it right in terms of plot, characterisation and actual story. The unsmiling demeanour of Robert Lansing (reminds me of Robert Stack) adds to the gravitas of the proceedings which, thanks to the seriousness of all concerned, become believable and you feel for the plight of the characters.
