Other reviews always emphasize the main plot, but there is an important subplot in this episode as well. This young lady who is deaf/mute is being taken advantage of by the neighborhood trapper (played convincingly by Albert Salmi). At first, the other men in her life are always coming to her rescue when this man comes around; but when they were not available, she found she could resist his unwanted advances herself.
